Meet Me on Monday and A Redneck Wedding?

October 31, 2010

1. Have you ever been on a cruise?

No...but if I ever do go on one, it's gonna be to some beautiful, tropical location!

2. What is your favorite way to eat eggs?

Deviled eggs...so yummy!

3. What is your favorite reading material?

Anything by James Lee Burke. He's from my hometown and most of his books are "set" in there. Love his work!

4. Name all the pets that you have ever had?

I could NEVER name all the pets I've had in my life lol. We've had...

Dogs and cats

Birds and Parrots

Rabbits

Guinea pigs

And a pet skunk named Sissy

The two pets we currently have are these two cuties (they're cute, but they're BAD lol)

Bonsai (Rasta Pug)

And Gidgette (Sleeping Beauty)

5. Were you ever a girl/boy scout?

I was in the Brownies for one school year. We ended up moving to another state after that and I never rejoined.

OK...now for the weekend recap. Remember the wedding I was telling y'all about a couple of post ago? Well...it wasn't what I thought it was going to be at all.

Hubby had told me that all the girls were wearing red and black. So I went and bought a pair of black jeans to go with my red shirt. The day of the wedding I went to get dressed and realized that I gave my sister my only pair of black dress boots. Great...no black shoes (besides sandals and it was too cold for those). I ended up wearing a blue sweater with jeans. Which was fine, but I'm sure I'm the odd ball in the pics lol.

I also ended up taking my camera...with dead batteries with me. Damn it! I "borrowed" a couple of their pics off of FB though!

The wedding was actually really sweet. I'd never met the bride before, she's hilarious! You could tell that their wedding was right up their alley! You can't ask for more than that! We've already made plans to have dinner together soon! I really like her!

 Neil and Sarah

 Cutting the cake.

Ha! I love this one! What a sweet couple!

I've been meaning to post pics of my new(er) car that we bought, but I wanted to clean it up first. Hubby and I worked on it all day today. He put in new head lights and replaced some bulbs and stuff that were burned out. I cleaned the inside of it and then we took it to the drive through car wash (I was exhausted just from cleaning the inside lol). Anyway...here's my new love!

Purdy huh? Lol... It needs a little body work and eventually we're gonna have it repainted but I love it! It's comfy and cushy!

Hope y'all had a great weekend and a happy Halloween!

A Little of This, A Little of That, yada, yada....

May 5, 2010

Just a few things that are on "the tip of my tongue" at the moment. (Since I missed post it note Tuesday)

*To my (ex boss) friend and her husband...Hey W, thanks so much for working on my car 6-8 months ago when I brought it to your shop to have my front brakes changed.  I had my back brakes fixed Sunday and was still having trouble "stopping" so my neighbor (who fixed the back brakes) said he needed to check the front brakes. Imagine how surprised I was to find out that YOU NEVER FUCKIN' CHANGED MY BRAKES. Yeah, we even brought you the parts because your frickin' parts prices were out effin' rageous!!!, seriously...I'd love to know where those parts went since they OBVIOUSLY did NOT go on my car. I couldn't believe how rusty the brakes are that are currently on the front of my car. So not only did you take me for MY yes! my money, I was still working at the time and wanted to pay for it myself. hard earned money, but you also took my effin' parts and put them somewhere besides where you were supposed to put them. Wanna know where I'd like to put those brake shoes, rotors and calipers?? Some "friend" you turned out to be ehh? Hey C, it's no wonder your pathetic, sorry, lazy, good for effin' nothing husband had to close up his shop, he's a effin' thief!

* Dear sweet, sweet, loving, patient, amazing Husband, I'm sorry that my car is being a total turd!! I know you've already got a million things you're stressed out over with both of your jobs. I hate that we've ended up putting more money into that damn car than we paid for it. I love you, and if I haven't told you lately, you're amazing. I'm such a lucky "girl!"

*Dear Blackberry, I love you so. No! Really! I do. But you're killing my hands. I hate it when I have to tell friends that I can't text that much because it makes my hands cramp up so damn bad that I can hardly hold it. I'm considering having you surgically implanted to my hand. BB girls, I know I don't show up that often to chat, it's not that I don't want to, I swear. I almost feel guilty for remaining a part of the group because I don't participate as much as everyone else. If you'd like me to delete the group, I'd be crushed totally understand. Why is it so hard for me to admit the things that fibromyalgia  is taking away from me?

* Thanks to dear, sweet Kimber I'm gonna give Twitter another chance...are you on Twitter? If so...what's ya name?? Lol... Mine is HomesickcajunNI, add me!

* Dear Vicki's Secret, can you please make your linen beach pants cheaper? And would it be wrong if I live the rest of my life in them? What?? Y'all don't own any of them? What is wrong with you people?? Look...linen, drawstring...they're like walking around in your pj's all day, only cuter! I have two pair of them now, I have the chocolate brown and blue chambray ones. I HAD them in sandcastle but like an idiot I gave those to my big sister. Those were a large though and they floated on me. FYI Vickie's....I'll totally do a review for you (isn't this one?) for just one more pair of them!

* I don't know what it is about me and maxi dresses, but I'm addicted to those too. The other day I was searching online for something to wear to a wedding that I don't want to go to Don and I are invited to. It's a guy he works with. He's a total ass, thinks he's God's gift  to women (he's actually short and stumpy) and he's stuck up. Not to mention...he dresses like this when they go golfing.... (I shit you not...he really does!)

(Not actually him! But...he's a good friend of Don's so we're going.)

AnywowIgotwayoffsubject, I was asking Don's opinion of the dresses and skirts that I liked and finally he said "Why do you want something so long?" I hadn't realized it but everything I showed him was either a maxi dress or a long "peasant" skirt. Lol...they're just so damn comfy...for realz.

* Reading Craigslist ads will make you realize how intelligent you are, or how unintelligent other people are. What is a pare tire? What is whenshield? How about this one... "Es free if you peck up on sam day yous call" lol... and hell...I didn't graduate highs school.  Yeah...gotta get that GED!!

* I found a car online that maybe, just maybe we'll be able to get. I sent an email to the dealership now I just have to wait to hear back from them. If it all goes like I'm hoping to hell it does, you'll hear me screaming from here! But I'M NOT going to get my hopes up high this time...I'm not sure I can take the disappointment if it doesn't go through.

So, I think that's all I've got on my mind for now...not to mention, typing is killing my hands today! Hope you're all well! Before I forget, I think (since I screwed up my feed and no one is getting notified when I write a new entry) that I'm gonna send out a mass email to let everyone (who wants to know) when I do post a new entry. So if you'd like to be added to the list send me your email addy and I'll be sure to let you know!

One year ago today (lots of pictures)..........

April 26, 2010

One year ago today I walked down to the beach, with a crowd of family and friends, and Don of course. One year ago today I married the most amazing man that I've ever met. I married a man who loves me, just as I am. He hasn't once tried to change me. He has showed me that it's ok to love myself, to think about myself and not feel guilty about it. He's given me more than anyone has ever cared to, the things he's given to me are things that can't be purchased. They're things that are priceless to me. I'm more in love with him at this moment than I've ever been before, but I know that when I wake up, I'll love him even more! That is the most amazing feeling ever!!

I honestly never thought that this kind of life was even possible. That this kind of happiness is even possible. How do you repay someone for that? The only way I've been able to figure out to repay him for what he's given me is to love him just as much in return!

On our wedding day we laughed. We laughed because we were happy! It was such a happy day for us! Anyway...on to the pics! These are in no certain order!

Two days before the wedding my Sister Diann, her husband Tomy and I went down to the beach and stayed at a hotel until our beach rental was available. It was so nice to get to spend some time alone with them! We went shopping at Kitty Hawk Kites wich is located right across from Jockey's Ridge which is the tallest natural sand dunes in the eastern U.S.!

Anyway, Tomy wanted to buy some kites for us to fly. First he found these two really cool kites, but then he found THIS...

Cool kite right? Looks like a reagular ol' kite right?? Well...feast your eyes on this baby on the ground...

The damn thing is 19ft wide!! Lol...sucker is HUGE!!! We named it "the big EFFIN' kite!"

Everyone wanted a turn flying this bitch! It's not as easy as it looks lol!

The day of the wedding Tomy decided to get the kite up in the air and then he tied it off to the back deck of our beach house. That damn thing was so strong if you'd touch the line the damn thing was vibrating! When it came time to pull the kite in, it took all these people (in the pics below) about 30 - 40 minutes to get it pulled in! I'm not kidding! Lol..

(This is my favorite wedding picture out of all of them!!)

Our wedding was exactly what we wanted it to be. It was small, it was beautiful! There was no stress involved in our wedding day what so ever!! We couldn't have asked for a better day!!
