I've also been in the land of numbers (aka HELL). Numbers in the form of fractions, percents, algebra, geometry, etc. Yeah, school. Remind me why I'm doing this again?? Oh yeah, to get my GED. Whew.
Actually I did get some pretty good news yesterday at school. Our math teacher gave us a test on Monday to see how we're progressing. I'm embarrassed to admit that when I started this whole GED process I tested at the 7th grade level in math (all other subjects? 12th grade honors. Math sucks!!). The test I took on Monday showed that I'm now testing at an 11th grade level.
Once my teacher saw my scores she asked me to take the practice GED test to see how I would do. I only had time to take the first half of it but I only missed one problem. (Go me!) My teacher wants me to sign up to take the actual math GED test on December 13th. But...I'm leaving to go home on December 11th so it's going to have to wait until I get back. Lets hope I don't panic like I normally do and spaz on the test lol.
Now that I've updated you, lets get on with the WWTKW questions! You can go to Mamarazzi's , Queso's or Crazymama's blogs to grab the button and the questions if you want to "play" along.
1. what is the worst job you have ever had?
This one is a toss up. It's either housekeeper at Comfort Suites (yuck) or (T shirt) inspector for Fruit of the Loom. The actual job of inspecting t shirts wasn't bad, but when you have to send t shirts back to the girls who sewed them because they screwed up it doesn't make you a very popular person in the workplace.
2. have you ever been fired?
Twice. When I was a bartender my boss caught me giving drinks to my friends (hell, I was drunker than Cooter Brown at the time lol.) and he let me go. Totally understandable. He and I are still great friends to this day!
The other time I was an office manager for a construction company and the assistant office manager was padding her time sheet. I didn't catch it so the
3. what would your dream job be?
Something where I would be helping single mothers and abused women. Can you imagine how gratifying that would be?I'd (also) love to own a tanning salon. Not because I'm all Snookie about tanning or anything, I've just always thought it would be a cool business to own.
4. what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
An attorney. My Mom always said I'd be good at it because I had an arguement for everything. Hehe...
5. how old were you when you got your first job?
16, I was a hostess at Spinnakers Restaurant in Atlanta.
