It's amazing what catching up on your sleep can do for you especially if you have insomnia. I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel! Especially after the ahhhmazing nights sleep I got last night! I feel like a brand new person!
I had to go to Wal Mart yesterday to pick up a few things (a few things turned into almost $300! Mr Man is never going to let me go to that store alone again lol!!) for the house including a bunch of cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. I'm one of those people who if my house doesn't smell clean then what's the point....same with laundry!
Anysmellsgood, I came home and proceeded to spend the next 6 hours (WTH? My house is NOT that dirty lol) cleaning my house and doing laundry. I also spent some of that time cleaning up some of my plants. Cutting away the dead leaves and such. It's almost time to put those suckers outside...which I'm happy about. I have far too many plants to keep them all in the house!!
I was so tired from all of the cleaning that I forgot to take my sleep meds until 11pm, which normally I would have just skipped them and taken the chance of being awake all night but I wasn't willing to take that chance. Since I was so tired though I decided to only take one of (Ambien) the sleep meds instead of the three different meds I normally take. And though I woke up a few more times than I normally do in the middle of the night I felt amazing when I woke up this morning. No grogginess at all...love that.
I have to give a special shout out to Juney at 3! A Charm, she's been so sweet and checking on me almost every day the last few days just to see how I'm doing. She knows I haven't been sleeping good and what that does to the fibromyalgia.
I owe all my peeps an apology. I'm so far behind on reading all your blogs that it almost seems impossible to catch up. I hate that. I hate not keeping up with what's going on with all of you. Not because I'm nosey (OK...so I'm a little nosey but that's besides the point!) but because I'm interested in your lives and because I care.
Yesterday after I posted the entry about the dream that I had about my Mom, Ian from Daily Dose of Reality started having a conversation about our Moms. If you've never read his entry about his Mom, you should! It's one of the most touching tributes I've ever read. (Ian I hope you don't mind me adding the link to that entry here!!) By the time that I finished reading it I had tears streaming down my face. That's when you know you've read a "good" blog entry...when someone can express their feelings so well that by the time you're finished reading it you're feeling the same thing they are!
Anypain, he and I had a very in depth conversation about our Moms, then about the death of my little Sister. She died of a rare illness when she was 13. I never thought about it before but Ian thinks I should do a blog entry about her life, and her illness. I guess because she's been gone for so long now (21 years) that I never even considered it. As I said, her illness was extremely rare (there were 5 known cases in the US when she was diagnosed at 2 1/2!) and it wasn't until about 6-7 years after her death that my Mom found out what (they think) causes the disease. She found this out while watching a show on TLC. So I'm seriously considering writing that entry...hell if it can save one life then it's worth it.
We also talked about a very personal situation that I (as well as my Mom and Sisters) went through as a young teenager. Ian has suggested that I write about this too and has even offered to host then entry. I'm considering it though I have to admit that I'm scared to put it out there so publicly, only because I don't anyone to pity me or to judge me, my Mom or my family. So I'll admit I'm having second thoughts, but I'm going to write it anyway. I can't say for sure now if I'll publish it but I guess writing it is the first step right? This story isn't something that I admit freely to many people, only because not that many people understand it. Anyway, as you can imagine from all of this...Ian is a super easy guy to talk to. I'd like to thank you for listening yesterday boo...it was nice to chat and get it all out! Thank you for not being super judgemental!
Today is April fools day as I'm sure you all know. It's also an anniversary of sorts for Mr Man and I. Four years ago today I moved from LA to NC so we could be together. Though I miss my Son and my family, it's the best decision I've ever made. Happy "anniversary" babe, I love you more every day!
(this is one of the first pics taken of us after I moved here)
I've got to run out later this afternoon and pick up some Easter cards and gifts for the kids and Mr Man. Even though the kids are all grown we still try to get them a little something each year. My step daughters are coming down with their hubby/bf's on Sunday and we're gonna cook Easter dinner and spend the day together. I wish that Rusty could be here. It's always hard being away from him but the holidays seem to be even worse sometimes.
Holy hell...this is turning into a novel...sorry about that! I'll leave you with some pics that I found hilarious! The other day I was reading Perez Hilton (it's what I do when I'm bored lol) and he had an entry on there about these...
Hairy Underwear...a company called Nutty Tarts designed these "hairy" underwear. Lmao...how crazy is this shit??
You know that there are people who are going to buy this shit though! *shakes head*
Lmfao...I have no clue why! Haha...
When I googled "hairy underwear" to find these images (whoah....be careful googling something like hairy underwear lol!) some of the most hilarious, odd and WTF shit came up! You're all always asking me where I get the stuff that I put into my WTF entries and that's exactly where I get all that stuff from! I'll google one thing and sometimes totally random or weird stuff comes up lol! Here are a few examples....
How hilarious is this? How much would someone have to bribe you to model for these pics?
Why? Why would someone make this? Why would someone buy it?
Holy hell! There are no words!! I'm done for now! The rest of the stuff that I found I think that I'll save for my next WTF entry! Lol...they're just that good!!
