Just a few pics....

I figured that I would try to upload some of the pics that I've taken so far. I'll post pics from the wedding tomorrow (hopefully).

 

I can't remember if I mentioned Ms South Bronx (hotel manager) in my last entry. This is her changing the doorknob on our balcony door.

  

I think I pissed her off when I started taking these pics. I tried to play it off like I was taking pics of the beach but I don't think she bought it.

When we got back to our room we started talking about how funny it would be if he showed up to the rehearsal, we knew his daughter would love it and laugh her butt off. We went back and bought the hat lol.

  

That's right ladies and gentlemen. It is illigal to cuss on Virginia Beach. In the words of Ms South Bronx "You can get a fucking $500 fine for fucking cussing on fucking Virginia Beach!" I wish I was kidding when I say that, but those were her exact words lol! When we couldn't get our balcony door open on the first night she told us to "just kick the fuckin' door in!" Lol...she was "colorful" to say the least!

The bride had on real shoes. She normally wears flip flops and only flip flops. Even in the middle of winter. We had to have a pic of this! She's even wearing flip flops under her wedding dress.

That's all the pics I have for now! I'm sure I'll have a bunch from the wedding that I'll post sometime within the next couple of days. We had a seagull this morning that decided to camp out on our balcony that I think I got a couple of great shots of!

Just Beachy.....

We've made it to the beach and into our hotel. We have a beachfront suite. Our balcony door would not open.  The very colorful (and by colorful I mean she's from South Bronx and every other word out her mouth is the eff' word!) manager came up to our room this morning. We woke up to no hot water (that's finally fixed) also. She had to take the doorknob off of the balcony door so now we're just sitting in our room waiting for her to come back and replace it. Meanwhile there's the very beautiful Virginia Beach sitting out our balcony door and we can't go walk on it...we have to wait. I'm not a patient person lol.

Last night we went and had drinks with Mr Man's ex wife and her best friend. Cosmo's...you just can't go wrong with a Cosmo!! We had a nice time. Left there and Mr Man and I went out to dinner. Came back to the room and just chilled.

The doorknob lady just walked back into our room so once that's done I'M GOING TO WALK ON THE BEACH DAMN IT!

I also have to go find some postcards for a little cutie named Dawson!! Hope you're all having a great weekend! Will post pics asap!

Before I forget, I recieved my first award yesterday (actually I got four of them). Once we get back home I'll post an entry about those!!

I have a confession....

I've got so much to do today that I shouldn't even be sitting here. Every morning this week I have been up by 6 am, which I like. It gives me time to read my blogs and get all of my housework done. I've had energy abound every.single.day. except today. I'm tired, I'm having a bit of a flare up (fibromyalgia) and I just don't feel motivated. Lol...that could be because I've been too lazy to get up and go take my meds and vitamins.

This weekend Mr Man's daughter is getting married. We live an hour from Virginia beach (in NC). He has to pick his tux up on Friday, rehearsal dinner is on Saturday and the wedding is on Sunday. So we're just going to be spending friday-monday at a hotel up there instead of driving home every night. That means I need to pack up all of our stuff.

I have a confession to make, I'm a huge over packer. I just hate the thought that I might need something and I'll not have it. Last night Mr Man and I were talking about him getting the suitcases out of the attic and how many we'd need (which he totally forgot to get out of the damn attic and I'm not going up there because well...I'm scared of mice and for some reason mice always seem to be in attics!). Well Mr Man chimes in and says "I only need my backpack!" Y'all the man shaves his head, he's bald. He needs 3 things. A razor. Shaving cream. Cologne. That's it.

Let's go over what I'll be needing to pack.

Shampoo and conditioner
Shine serum
straightening cream
blow dryer
brush
comb
hair clip (to use when I have to curl  my hair)
straightening iron
curling iron
styling spray
finishing spray
bobby pins (in case I decide to put my hair up in an updo)

Do you see where I'm going with this? That's just what I'm going to need for my hair. Throw in clothes for the rehearsal dinner, clothes for wedding, jewelry for both outfits, make up, shaving stuff, meds, etc. Men have it so damn easy lol.

Tomorrow is actually a big day for me (throw in a sarcastic tone here). We've been married for 10 months and I still haven't been added to Mr Mans bank account. His bank is also in VA and it's just been really hard to get up there during the week when the bank is open.

Mr Man has also had some aprehension about adding me to the account. He probably wouldn't admit that, but it's written all over his face. I don't know why, what he's worried about, what he coudl possibly think I would do. But honestly, especially since I'm not working anymore, I'm sick and tired of having to ask for money all the time.  So I'm glad I'll finally have my own ATM card, you know... because you never know when you'll see a really cute sweater in case an emergency comes up!
