We Want to Know

1. If money didn't matter, where would your perfect vacation take place? Briefly describe.
Ireland. I'd spend most of my time visiting castles and just enjoying the scenery. I would HAVE to kiss the Blarney Stone while I'm there though!

2. What's a bad habit that you have {or ha} that is/was hard to break?
Smoking. Considering that I lost my Mom to lung cancer you'd think it would be easy to quit, it's not. Hubby just quit (he's taking Chantix) and I think I'm going to try (with the same meds) to next month!

3. If you weren't on a diet or counting calories, what would you like to have for dinner tonight?
Lol probably all the Cajun foods that I can't get here! Boudin balls, boudin, you know...the good stuff. Either that or anything Mexican.

4. If you had the chance to interview anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and what's one question that you would ask?
Oprah. I'd probably ask her to adopt me lol.

5. Describe yourself in 6 words.
Funny, loyal, loving, caring, trusting, softhearted.

i am sooooo proud of you for trying to quit smoking.

i have never tried a cigarette but i know from seeing friends go through trying to kick the habit that it is HARD, so i respect the fact that you WANT to quit and are trying.

i want Oprah to adopt me too...we can be sisters.

Do you know that you have to kiss the Blarney Stone upside down? I picture myself being held by my ankles with my head stuck between.... wait. that was a just a nightmare I had... Nevermind.

I'm surprised more people haven't said Oprah now that I'm reading through these, haha

Good for you for wanting to try and quit - it's important to really want it otherwise it's just not going to happen. I've watched my mother try and fail I don't know how many times, but realistically I don't think it's something she even wants to accomplish. Good luck with it!!!

Smokin has to be a tough one to quit! My father in law had a heart attack about 2 years ago and they don't him he couldn't smoke anymore and he has been so depressed ever since... even had to get him a fake cigg that you can inhale with.. hope you can kick it!! :) Ireland does sound fun! Thanks for linkin' up with us!

I'd love to go to Ireland. It looks so lush and green there. And the beer is amazing, or so I've heard.

I've been to Ireland and it is beautiful. I also kissed the Blarney Stone which honestly was rather gross, it was slick and black for mall of the oils and whatever else came from millions of peoples mouths! And if you;re not a smoker than you'll be miserable unless they've changed the smoking laws. Everyone smoked and there were no boundaries.

Well look, answer #2 answered one of my questions in comment #1. I'm sorry, cancer SUCKS!

What's boudin?

I'm not a big Oprah fan but I'd be an idiot not to recognize all of the good she has done for so many.

I think after reading how passionate you are about your son I would add protective to that list!

I would love to see Ireland in person, it's beautiful there from the pics I've seen.

Good luck on quitting smoking.

I love Oprah. I will sure miss her show when it's over.

Happy Wednesday!

Bwahaha! Your Oprah comment just cracked me up. Love your answers, though. And girl, you can TOTALLY do it with the non-smoking! You're motivated, dedicated and need to take care of YOU!

JUST QUIT.

You don't need Chantix or Nicorette or anything else. Just put them down and don't pick them up again.

It really is that easy. It's white knuckle for the first few days, of course, so breathe through it and distract yourself. (BTW, 20 deep breaths are the equivalent of fooling your lungs into thinking you're smoking a cig.) Change your habits, change your drive to work if you smoke then, go for a walk after a meal instead of smoking, and very important, don't eat sugar for a week. Nicotine is treated with sugar to keep it fresh (little known fact!) and you have a sugar addiction as well, and when you start eating sweets while trying to quit, it keeps you craving cigs longer. Have natural sugar (fruit) if you really need something.

You can do it.

Now, get to my blog and tell me your song.

Ireland would be amazing to visit! I too would kiss the Blarney Stone, after disinfecting it a bunch. & I definitely would love to be adopted by Oprah!

Good luck with quitting smoking!! I was able to stop when I started dating someone who didn't smoke, so maybe having your husband quit will help you kick it!

Wouldn't we all love Oprah to adopt us. So happy I found this link-up it's been a blast meeting new to me peeps.

I'd be spraying that stone with Lysol then giving it a good dousing of Listerine before I could kiss it, but we'd be getting it on. ;o)

3 of my kids LOVE boudin with that nasty syrup (Steen's) that we have to have imported when anyone visits- of course 3 of my kids were born in Cajun Country (Lafayette).
