Lover's day is just around the corner!

February 12, 2010

I've gotten 50 followers! Yay! If you wouldn't mind would you please go check out LMJ , she was my 50th follower. Her father was murdered recently, I'm sure she could use the support.

That brings me to my next subject. I've always been amazed how people on the internet come together for each other when they're in need. I met my husband online. I've met some of the most amazing people I know online. I've met some FREAKS online too...it kind of comes with the territory. I could tell you some stories that would make the hair on the back of your neck stand up lol!

Mr Man (hubs) and I met online. We talked for a year before we met in person. The day he bought his plane ticket to come to LA to meet me he also bought a plane ticket for me to move to NC 19 days later. We knew. When you spend 5 or 6 hours a day on the computer/phone everyday you really get to know a lot about that person. Every one freaked out on me when I told them I was moving. "Weren't you scared Mrs Wife?" Ummm no...I doubt an axe murderer would have spent that much time on the phone/computer with me. If he was an axe murderer after all that time then...my bad. Lol...

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia before I met my husband. I was married to my ex at the time and it was an abusive relationship. When the dr's FINALLY figured out what was wrong with me his response was "You might as well kill yourself and get it over with!" Those were some of the darkest days of my life.

The friendships that I formed online are what saved me, they pulled me though! Those "strangers" that I met online helped me to realize that I needed to get out of that relationship, and I did. If it hadn't been for their support, I honestly don't know if I would have made it.

I honestly feel sorry for people who don't understand the friendships you can form with people online. They just don't get it. They don't understand how the power of someone else's words can lift you up and pull you through. They don't understand the laughter you share, the tears you share.

I'm fairly new here to blogger but in the short time I've been here I've met some wonderful people. They're hilarious too! I've forgotten how much I can laugh!

Thank you all so much for your love, your support! I'd be lost without you all!!

Now on to the fun........

Love songs. These are the one's that remind me of Mr Man (hubs). What are your favorite love songs?

The video is cheesy as hell for this one but love the song.

Good lord this one is sexy as hell!

Classic

One of my favs

*Note: I'll probably post another entry today, I know that's a lot of post in the last couple of days. Guess I have a lot to say lol.

Shameless! One of my old favorites.

I agree.....I've met some of my closest friends in this crazy blogland we live in. Get over it, people, if you don't understand! Unless Chris Hansen shows up, I think you're OK.

I agree sweetie, I've met some of THE most amazing people online. People that I not only call my online friends, but friends that I've then come to know IRL, whom I've welcomed into my home, and who have graciously welcomed me into theirs!

I'm glad you found a community of love to help you through your tough time, god knows we all need it!

I'd be lost without my support group.

The blogging friends I have made are AMAZING! I don't know what I would do without being able to "talk" to my virtual friends. They have pulled me through some tough times.

Congrats on 50!

I know you already know this, but I too met my husband online! On the same site that you met yours! *lol*

I am so thankful for all the online friends that I have or have had, you really can make a strong connection and friendship online. I'm glad that your friends were able to pull you through a tough time that you had in your life. It's nice to know that people will always be there for you.

I met That Man online and we talked on the computer and phone for about a week before we actually met face to face. 15 minutes after we sat down at our first date (which he says wasn't a date but rather a Meet & Greet) I knew he was the one. That was 3 years this past December and even though we've been through a lot of stuff in those 3 years, I wouldn't change a thing. He is the man I dreamed of all those years ago as a little girl - I just finally was able to see his face. So glad I found you too!

Okay, it took me all day but I finally got to come and read your blog today--and I LOVE your post. I love how we both posted something so similar today.

And I totally agree with you. I love my blog friends. I feel like I know so much about all of you--and y'all know so much about me. My online friends are amazing. I don't know what I would do without all of you!

And those songs? Love them. Shameless. Sade. Beautiful, sexy, ahhhh :)

Just wanted to thank you for stopping at my blog. Hope you enjoyed it. I love your post, and the songs. I've read your post today & one question. Could we be sisters in a past life or something? My life has run on a similar path as yours. You met your hubby on-line, I met mine through a wrong number. I'll be blogging about it on Sunday. My ex was also abusive, and my health is a long story. Yes, you do meet very nice people on line sometimes, and I'm glad I met you.

Hey, I met my husband online through a friend. It was totally by chance, and not something I would typically do.

Guess it worked out. ;)
