Day 23 → Something you wish you had done in your life.

Wow...this could be a long list lol. I'm not a person who has a lot of regrets (or so I like to think), but there are some things that I wish I'd done differently.

As I said in my last 30 days entry, I wish I would have finished school.
I wish I would have let my hubby moved to Louisiana instead of me moving to NC.
I wish that I wouldn't have let certain things/people get to me.
I wish that I could have proven my innocence.
I wish that I would have treasured my time with my Mom more than I did.
I wish that I would have won the lottery (hey...it's my wish list right?).

Too bad wishes rarely come true huh?

Redneck wedding today. Snuggling tonight, and tomorrow (since hubby found out he has the day off tomorrow too). You can never go wrong with snuggling!!

30 Days of Truth - Day 22

October 28, 2010

It's been a while since I worked on this, life kind of got in the way. But I figured it was time for me to finish what I've started!

Day 22 → Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.

Quit school. That would be my biggest one. I wish I would have graduated and gone to college. There are so many reasons why, which I wont bother to list.

Moved away from Louisiana. Away from my family. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband and I'd be lost without him. But I wish I would have never moved away from my family. It seems like I'll never get back there. Living there I mean. Though hubby has been looking for jobs closer to there, it doesn't seem like any of them pay what he's making here.

Let myself be treated like I'm less than someone. I've never let someone treat me like I didn't deserve to be in the room. Until recently. It wont happen again. If you want respect, sometimes you have to demand it. Sometimes even the people that you consider your friends can treat you like shit....if you let them. Try it again, I dare you!

Another birthday....30 Days of Truth, Day 21.

August 24, 2010

Day 21 → (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?

Really? Is this even a necessary question? I would think that most people would do what I would do.

I'd be there in a heartbeat! I mean, she's my bff after all! I probably wouldn't leave her side, I'd stay there and support her, love her...he'll I'd even change diapers...if I had to! I mean I love her and all...but (eww) still, I'd do it! I'd take her kids to my house and let them stay with me until she was home. Whatever she needed from me, I do for her.

Including the ass kicking she would get (as soon as I knew that she was ok) for pissing me off in the first place!! Haha!

I'm sitting here watching Don play a game on the PS3. I've got some good ol' Steve Miller Band going on my laptop! Now there's some "happy" music for ya!

Today is my big sisters birthday! I'm so thankful that we're back on speaking terms and that she's in a happy and loving relationship with a wonderful guy! I wrote a blog entry about her ex kicking her out when she was going through testing to see if she had breast cancer a while back (I ended up deleting all of my early blog entries!). She came home from work one day and he told her to get out. No "you can stay here till you find somewhere to go" nothing like that...just get out! She didn't even suspect that anything like that was coming, especially with what was going on with her health at the time! F*cker! I swear, I'd (still) love to beat his pansy ass for that one!

Anyhappyeffinbirthday, I love you big sis! I can't wait to get home in 26 days  and spend some quality time you know, drinking and stuffs and Diann!!

So, 3 birthdays, 3 days in a row in my family. Whew....shits exhausting yo! But we're all good for now. Until September 1st, MY BIRTHDAY!! I don't know what in the hell I'm excited about. I'm turning 41. What's so damn exciting about that y'all? Lol...

Still having a bit of a flare up today, but it's going away! Dr's appointment tomorrow, I'm guessing my dr's gonna say that it's time for me to consider those injections in my neck...I don't want to but nothing else is making the damn pain go away. So I guess I'll know after tomorrow! Wish me luck!

30 Days of Truth, Day 20.

August 21, 2010

Day 20 → Your views on drugs and alcohol.

It's all about moderation people If you can't handle it...don't drink it. I know more alcoholics than the law should allow lol. I don't drink very much, usually the only time I drink is when I go home. And I make up for lost time ha! My sisters and I go out, a lot. I do have to say though, I'll never understand how someone can become an alcoholic....who in the right mind would want to be drunk 24/7? The hangovers alone would kill me!!

Drugs...to each their own. But I feel the same about this...if you can't handle it, don't do it. That's all I'm going to say on this one.

Tomorrow is my Son's 21st birthday. I can't begin to tell you how much my heart is breaking. First, because I can't be there. He'd planned on going on vacation with one of his best friends since their birthdays are so close together. That's why I ended up buying my tickets to go home in September instead. Then the trip was canceled.   So now, he'll be home and I'm here. So bummed. Secondly, my baby is grown. He's a man now! I swear...it just kills me. Lol...

Tomorrow I'll post the letter that I sent him for his birthday.

We're having a birthday dinner for Don tomorrow night. His birthday is Monday. We're gonna bake a ham and some sides. I'm gonna make him a carrot cake, that's his favorite!

So, today will be spent cleaning my house. Yeah...fun!

Tattoo's and 30 Days of Truth, Day 19.

August 20, 2010

Today I went to get my cover up tattoo finished. This is what I started out with. A crooked, ugly butterfly!

Gotta love the muffin tops huh? Yuck!

This was after the first sitting. You can hardly see the butterfly already.

This was after the second sitting. I've been walking around with it like this for over a year. I did go in once to finish it, but I was sick and honestly, the minute she touched me with the needle...I almost passed out! How embarassing!

This is from today. Holy Mother of sweet baby Hey'sus...this shit hurt! That's Jen tattooing me. She's great! This girl has hair down past her knees! I want her hair...love itI!

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Ok...so it wasn't THAT bad, but it was bad enough lol.

Gettin' it done yo! Can I mention...I do NOT wear underwear...yeah I know...anynodrawers...those damn boy briefs that I had on made me feel like I was wearing a damned diaper! Nasty!

And we're finished! Praise sweet baby Hey'sus!

This is after I got home and cleaned it up. OK, so can anyone tell me how I managed to lose 26 pounds and I still have muffin tops damn it? That's just nasty looking!

We also had to touch this one up, the ink didn't take in a couple of spots. This is when I first got this one. Aww look at my cutie on the floor!

This is from today, after she touched it up. I swear to you, my legs are not that white!

This is Jen doing Don's koi last year, look how long this girls hair is. Pretty huh?

Don's koi when it was finished.

When I went to take all the pics off my camera, I found this one...

How freaking adorable are they? They're bad as hell, Bebe's kids..for real yo! But...so damn loveable!!

Day 19 → What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?

Hmmm...religion. I believe that you don't have to go to church to believe in God. I hate being preached at. Preaching to me is the easiest way to get me disinterested. I talk to God every single day. I just don't go to church. Whatever works right?

Politics? I plead the 5th...or is it the 4th?

Haha! Have a great weekend y'all!

I got an award! 30 Days of Truth.

August 18, 2010

Marguerite over at Cajun Delights gave me this award. Thank you so much girl, that was so sweet of you! If y'all haven't checked out her blog, you should! She has some amazing recipes over there! Good ol' Cajun cooking!

In order to accept this award, I must answer the 10 questions below and pass the award to six fellow bloggers.

1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now? I blog publicly, though not many people in my "real life" know about it. I wish I would have gone the anonymous route.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
Haha...there are lots of these. When I was in high school the principle told my physical science class that we had to write a 5 page report because we wouldn't tell him who stole a tuning fork (wth??) from the teacher. I knew who'd taken it but wasn't going to be a "narc." I wasn't about to write a 5 page report for something I didn't do either! I ended up going into ISS for two days because I stood my ground.

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the face in the mirror?
My (hazel) eyes and my nose ring lol

4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
pink lemonade sno cones, if you're talking of the "adult" variety then I'd have to say a frozen margarita! yums!

5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
taking time for myself is usually getting my hair done lol.

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
Get my GED. I'm starting classes tomorrow.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the class shy person, or always ditching school? Describe who you were if not one of these.
I was shy as hell in school!

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what do you see?
My son graduating.

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
It's all me, all the time lol. Why be your "fake" self? haha

10. If you had the choice to sit and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Considering I despise talking on the phone, and I love to read, we'll go with reading!!

I'm gonna pass this one onto my 6 newest followers, (that I could find blogs for!) thank you so much for following my blog!!

Enjoy ladies!

Day 18 → Your views on gay marriage.
I think it's not our government's job to tell people who they can marry. I think that everyone has the right to be married to whoever they want to be. I think that everyone has the right to be happy. It's not like telling gay people that they can't get married is going to make them go away! WTH?

I can't believe that in this day and age we're still talking about this. I mean really...

LET THEM GET MARRIED ALREADY!

PINT and 30 Days of Truth, Day 17.

August 17, 2010

It's fun, if you want to play along....you can go here....

I've been in a blogging "mood" I guess for the last couple of weeks, I haven't been participating in most of the meme's that I like to play along with! I'm working on it...don't hate me!

Day 17 → A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.

Haha...you'll all probably laugh, but this one did wonders for me!

I got this book because I was so in love with my ex and I couldn't understand why I couldn't make him happy, why I couldn't do anything right. (HA! His drugs and drinking MIGHT have had something to do with that! People...I'm a blonde! What do you expect?? j/k) The funny thing is, this book made me realize was that no matter what I did, our marriage wasn't going to work. It also made me realize that he was only doing to me what I was letting him do to me. He wouldn't have been abusive if I would have stopped it when it first started. I should have just walked away. What can I say? I'm not a quitter!

Really, it's a really good book. It's not about fixing your relationship, it's about fixing you. I learned a lot from it!

I swore that I wouldn't touch these books. I just didn't want to jump on the Twilight bandwagon. Then my (70ish year old) Mother in law talked me into reading them. I read all four books in a week. So yeah...this one book changed my mind about the whole series. And FYI, I'm....

I'm mean...how could I not be??

Don't get me wrong, Edward's hot too. In that pale, he sparkles kind of way.

But HELLO....they run around half naked half the time people! (Kimber...I still love you though! ;0})

And last but not least...

Everything you've ever thought about rock stars? It's true...and then some! It's a wonder any of those guys are still alive, let alone functioning "normally!" Steven Tyler is lucky he still has a nose on his face....just sayin'!

30 Days of Truth, Day 16 and Meet Me on Monday

August 16, 2010

Day 16 → Someone or something you definitely could live without.

Haha...this is such a loaded question. I could think of two (or three) people I could add to this list, but we're so not going there! So I'm going to go with "Something I could live without".

I could live without housecleaning, laundry, and cooking. Ok...maybe not cooking. I really do love cooking! I could live without judgmental people, I could live without know it all bitches, I could live without stuck up people. I could live without seafood.

Ehhh...that's all I've got. I don't know what's up with me the last week or so. Just not a whole lot to say I guess.

1. What is your favorite dessert?

Yummy... Better than Sex cake

I seriously have to tell myself, "Step away from the cake!!!"

2. What do you wear to bed?
I sleep in naked! So comfy!

3. Do you get regular manicures/pedicures?
I give myself mani and pedis usually once every couple of weeks. I have to keep my nails polished, if I don't they break! You can usually find me rockin' a bright pink color.

4. Did you play any sports in high school?
I was a cheerleader in Jr high, does that count?

                                                                         (not me!)

5. Do you have an iPod?
I do! I have an iPod Touch and I'm totally addicted to it! I love that I can get online on it, and I'm so addicted to the games it's not even funny!

Hope you all have a great day!
