Where the Hell Have I Been? WWTKW

November 30, 2011

It seems like it's been forever since I posted an entry in here. You see, what had happened was (lol) Hubby bought me an iPad. So (most of) the rest of the world kind of disappeared for a couple of weeks.

I've also been in the land of numbers (aka HELL). Numbers in the form of fractions, percents, algebra, geometry, etc. Yeah, school. Remind me why I'm doing this again?? Oh yeah, to get my GED. Whew.

Actually I did get some pretty good news yesterday at school. Our math teacher gave us a test on Monday to see how we're progressing. I'm embarrassed to admit that when I started this whole GED process I tested at the 7th grade level in math (all other subjects? 12th grade honors. Math sucks!!). The test I took on Monday showed that I'm now testing at an 11th grade level.

Once my teacher saw my scores she asked me to take the practice GED test to see how I would do. I only had time to take the first half of it but I only missed one problem. (Go me!) My teacher wants me to sign up to take the actual math GED test on December 13th. But...I'm leaving to go home on December 11th so it's going to have to wait until I get back. Lets hope I don't panic like I normally do and spaz on the test lol.

Now that I've updated you, lets get on with the WWTKW questions! You can go to Mamarazzi's , Queso's or Crazymama's blogs to grab the button and the questions if you want to "play" along.

1. what is the worst job you have ever had?

This one is a toss up. It's either housekeeper at Comfort Suites (yuck) or (T shirt) inspector for Fruit of the Loom. The actual job of inspecting t shirts wasn't bad, but when you have to send t shirts back to the girls who sewed them because they screwed up it doesn't make you a very popular person in the workplace.

2. have you ever been fired?

Twice. When I was a bartender my boss caught me giving drinks to my friends (hell, I was drunker than Cooter Brown at the time lol.) and he let me go. Totally understandable. He and I are still great friends to this day!

The other time I was an office manager for a construction company and the assistant office manager was padding her time sheet. I didn't catch it so the dickhead boss accused me of "being in on it". A huge argument ensued and he fired me/I quit. I mean really, if I was going to "help" her steal from the company don't you think I'd make sure that benefited me too?? Asshat. If he would have let me take care of her time sheet the problem would have enver happened.

3. what would your dream job be?

Something where I would be helping single mothers and abused women. Can you imagine how gratifying that would be?I'd (also) love to own a tanning salon. Not because I'm all Snookie about tanning or anything, I've just always thought it would be a cool business to own.

4. what did you want to be when you "grew up"?

An attorney. My Mom always said I'd be good at it because I had an arguement for everything. Hehe...

5. how old were you when you got your first job?

16, I was a hostess at Spinnakers Restaurant in Atlanta.

Ipad It Up To Here...

November 14, 2011

We had a quiet weekend around here. Hubby is only teaching a two hour class, two days a week right now so he's be home a lot and we've just been hanging around the house.

Ok...so he's been staying up all night playing with his new PS shoot 'em up, bang bang game lol. And cursing like the sailor that he used to be. He decided to buy his own Christmas present this year. I hate when he does that. He totally got himself the game that I was going to get him. Lol I guess he couldn't wait that long for his game.

I wont complain though because I got my present on the same day. He'd told me what I was getting a couple of weeks before (I've been hinting about it here lol). And here "He" is...

I named him "Jax".

Here he is in his new case...

Yeah, so I named him Jax. In case you're living in the woods somewhere and have never seen Son's of Anarchy, this is who I named him after.

Yes please!

I'm sure he's not everyone's cup of tea. Just know, he cleans up well. Very well.

Yummy.

Lol when Hubby first told me about getting me an iPad 2 I'd decided to name it Penelope but then changed it to Jax. But, I'm thinking Penelope goes better with that blue case. Whatever. Just know that I'm in love with it. I take it to bed with me.

I either read a book on it (in bed) or I shove my earphones as deep in my ears as I possibly can (when Hubby is playing his shoot 'em up games) and watch TV (thank you Time Warner Cable for your wonderful app).

He really surprised me. I figured since I'm going home for Christmas that I would be getting very little in the gift department. It cost so damn much when I go home. Between the rental car and spending money, it takes a lot.

Saturday a friend of mine took some pictures of me. I'd been wanting to do a couple of head shots for hubby. He has these amazing head shots of himself that I've been wanting to hang in our bedroom but he thinks it would look stupid if we just had two huge shots of him in there lol. Anyheadshots, here's a few of the pics that she posted on FB. She said these were her favorites.

I love the one on the right.

This one isn't bad, but I can't say it's a favorite of mine.

I love this one minus the hair in my face. She said she loved the "hair in the face" thing in pics. I thinking I don't lol.

 Not one of my fav's.
The ones on the top are OK but I have to admit, I don't get the "crotch shot". Lmao, I was actually embarrassed when I saw that she'd posted this one of FB. I can just hear my Son now haha!

She did a great job on the pics, it's not her skills that make the pics bad in my book. I'm just so damn spastic lol. It's hard for me to smile and have it look natural. You can tell if that by looking at these. Not one of the "smiles" looks natural. I don't know why, I've always been this way though.

Well, that's all I've got for today. I hope you all have a great week!

Dealing With Emotions

November 6, 2011

Days like these are never easy for me. I'm always the one who gets down on birthdays and on the anniversaries of our loved ones who've passed away. It just never seems to get easier for me like it does my Sisters. Sometimes I wish it would. I wish I could be them sometimes.

Twenty three years ago my little Sister passed away. (you can click the link to read her story) It's never an easy day for me, even more so today. I'm an emotional wreck. I wish that I was home so I could go to the cemetery, I know that I would probably feel better if I could. Most of my family doesn't go to my Mom's or Sister's graves. I understand their reasons, we all cope differently.

I'm hoping that by putting these words down here will help today easier for me. I've got a lot of homework to get done before tomorrow and I need my mind in the right spot.

I miss you Sissy. I wish you were still here. I wonder what you'd be like at 36. I wonder what your children would look like. I wonder about so much. I love you.

Friday Confessions

Time to confess. If you're ready to "bare you soul" then head on over to Mamarazzi's blog and grab the button.

I confess...I got my hair colored and trimmed yesterday by my SIL. I love it. I'll post pics soon.

I confess...Since I refuse to drive in VA (where SIL works and lives) hubby had to bring me. We decided to go have dinner with his youngest daughter. It was so nice seeing her. And damn the food was so good.

I confess...I should be cleaning my house right now. I'll start on it as soon as I finish this though.

I confess...my dr's office called me the other day to tell me that they'd finally scheduled my appointment with the neurologist. The one my dr had completely forgotten about and looked at me like I was nuts when I brought it up.

I confess...I love it when I know I'm right haha!

I confess...I can't wait until Breaking Dawn comes out on DVD. I hate going to the movies so I'll have to wait until it does to see it. Sucks.

I confess...my trip home is getting closer. I'm getting really excited.

I confess...I called my Dad the other day to tell him that I'd be staying at his house. He didn't seem like he cared one way or another lol.

I confess...That's my pops!

I confess...I'm starting to actually "get it" in my math class. It feels pretty damn good.

I confess...I'm ready to kick my neighbors ass cause she wont do something about her damn barking dogs.

I confess...I'm trying to come up with a name for my Christmas present hubby is getting me. I'd decided on Penelope but now I'm kind of thinking Jax or Opie. Haha!

I confess...I need to get my butt off of here. I've got a house to clean.

Hope y'all have a great weekend.!

Happy Thursday

November 3, 2011

Have y'all seen the video of the judge beating his daughter after he found out that she downloaded (illegally) some music and a game on her computer? If not and you want to see it (I'll warn you, it's horrible) you can Google it (judge beating daughter). I don't want to put the link here, cause it will offend some people.

I cried watching it. That poor child. The video is four years old, she was 16 at the time. She also has ataxic cerebral palsy. She said that she posted the video on Youtube because she wants her Dad to get help.

What kills me is the girls Mother. She's in the room watching the beating, she even hits the girl once. The Mother claims that she was being abused also and that's why she didn't stop it.

Most of y'all are mothers. I doubt one of you would say that you would let your child be beaten into submission in front of you. Abused or not. It makes me ill.

I'm going to get my hair done today. I can't wait. I need a haircut so bad lol. I'm also getting it colored. This is the color I'm going for.

When I go home for Christmas I'll probably get it highlighted too. I'm so used to highlights that it's hard to get used to just one color lol.

Y'all my neighbors dogs are driving me nuts. They bark constantly. Yesterday they started when she left for work (about 6:30 am) and they didn't stop until after 9 pm. I don't want to call the cops or animal control. I hate to be "that" neighbor. We haven't said anything to her either, she's just not the approachable type. I have mentioned it on FB several times though and she always apologizes but it's getting old quick.

We can hear them barking over the sound of our TV. That's how loud they are. Hubby can usually just ignore it but I cant. Because of my ADHD background noises are something that has always gotten to me. I can't ignore them. No matter how hard I try.

Hubby told me the other day what he's getting me for Christmas. Since I'll be leaving to go home two weeks before Christmas he's going to let me get it in the next couple of weeks. I'm not going to say what it is yet, I'll introduce y'all once I get it. But let me just say I'm so freakin' excited!! Woot woot! Lol...

Want to Know

November 2, 2011

Make sure you stop by Mamarazzi and Queso's blogs to check out their answers and to grab the questions!

1. How did you celebrate Halloween? Adult party? Trick or treating? Trunk or treat?

Very quietly. We stayed home. We didn't even have one kid come to our door. Which was great cause we'd already eaten almost all of the candy lol.

2. What candy is your favorite/the first thing you steal from the kids?

Reese! Any kind of Reese. Those things are like crack. Just sayin'.

3. What kind of candy do you give out, is it your favorite? Or something you know you won't be tempted to eat?

We bought Tootsie Rolls this year. And ate almost all of them lol.

4. How soon after Halloween do you take down decorations and put away decorations?

I don't normally decorate for Halloween. I guess I'm too lazy lol.

5. When do you decorate for the next holiday?

Well, I would say Christmas but since I'm going home this year I don't know how much decorating I'll be doing. I'm sure we'll put up the tree since Hubby will still be here and spend Christmas eve with his girls. But other than that, I wont be doing much.

Y'all have a great day now, ya hear?
