It's Good For the Soul!

I confess...

I'm going into DAY 2 of no sleep. It sucks monkey balls.

I confess...

If insomnia were a woman I'd kick her ass all crazy Cajun girl style. Don't think I can't.

I confess...

This turned me into a complete pile of mush. And made me cry.

Don't judge me, wait until your kids are "grown" and it feels like they don't need you anymore lol! He's sick, poor baby!

So what's the meat and noodles you ask? When I was a kid I made up this "dish" lol all it is is gound beef that's seasoned and browned mixed with elbow noodles. It's plain, it's simple but I still love it lol. And so does my kid. It's the greatest feeling in the world to know your kid still needs you! ♥ this!

I confess...

I'm bummed that I'm almost finished reading A Million Little Pieces (for the second time). I love this book!

I confess...

The two little heifers below are about to drive me out of my effin' mind. I swear to y'all, it's like having two year old twins at home with me all day. I don't like it. Not.one.little.bit. My neighbors must think I'm nuts cause all they must hear me say all day (when my windows are open) is "No!" "Stop!" "Don't even think about it!" "Stop sniffing her butt!" and "STOP humping your sister!" Geeze...

{yeah, I'm a sucker! I feed them Popsicles.}

Between the constant scratching (if we don't stop them, they'll scratch until they bleed) and licking (just the sound of their licking themselves irks the shit out of me, and the ever present butt sniffing, I'm threatening to sell them to the nearest Chinese restaurant. I swear it's like Gidgette (on the left) has to sniff Bonsai's (on the right) butt just to make sure she used the potty when they went outside. Gross.

{Bonsai (the one on the left) has brain freeze. Ha! Serves her right!}

For some reason Bonsai has been doing this thing with dragging her butt on the carpet. She'll also do that until she bleeds. We've had her checked at the vet, he said she's just "odd." The last time she did the whole butt dragging thing on the carpet I was outside planting some flowers. I came in after being out there for maybe 20 minutes and my living room carpet looked like a crime scene. There was blood everywhere. Bitch is lucky I have my trusty shampooer, or the bitch would be dead.

They're lucky they're cute, and they're always good for a laugh.

 {Did I mention they're sisters? Sick bitches!}

I confess...

All this tornado business is so sad. My heart breaks for all the families that have been going through them. That must be one of the scariest feelings in the world. Having "survived" hurricanes Rita and Katrina in Louisiana I'll admit that storms of any kind have a way of freaking me the eff out. When the weather got bad here today and the weather man said there was a tornado on the ground here I was freaking out lol. Thank God it quickly passed and that (as far as I know) no one was hurt or suffered any damage.

I confess...

I need y'all. My favorite blogging peeps. I'm going to Tennessee for two weeks in July to visit my big Sister (yay)

{this bitch got all the boobs in the family and those green eyes. Yeah, I'm hatin'!}

and I need some guest bloggers. You can write about any subject you'd like. Anyone interested? If so, leave me a comment and I'll email you with the info.

I confess...

Hubby is going to be out of town most of the day tomorrow and I'm gonna miss him. Lol. I'm such a sap. I'm just used to having him home on the weekends. So, I'll be crafting my behind off this weekend I'm sure.

{I'll go pout now}

I confess...

I'm delirious from lack of sleep, so I'm not responsible for the content of this post. Unless you think it's funny, then I totally rocked this bitch!

{1} What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex? Are you an eyes or a smile person? Maybe another body part?

Eyes...most definetly! I mean...have you seen my hubby's eyes y'all?

{Good gawd almighty! Thank you sweet baby Jose'!}

{2} If a movie was being made about you who would you like to see cast to play you? And would your movie be a comedy, drama, romantic-comedy, action film or a horror movie?

Kate Hudson

{can't you see the resemblance? Bwwahh! I wish!}

It would be a dramatic comedy with a touch of horror. Lol...dying to see it aren't cha?

{3} Does your high school yearbook include a senior comment section? If so share what you said about your future goals. Have you met those goals? If you do not have a yearbook just share what your goals where when you were 18 and if you have met them. If you’re brave enough include your Senior Picture!

I was a dumbass and got married when I was 17 and dropped out of high school. My only goals were to be a good wife. Gag. Thank God I woke up from that nightmare! As soon as Mr Hubby is finished fixing my car I'll be going back to school to FINALLY finish up my GED. I'll be a happy bitch when I'm done!

{4} What latest trend simply baffles you?

Spandex leggings. Don't get me wrong, I love 'em. I wear them even. BUT...(that's a big but!) some people should NOT wear spandex. I weigh 135lbs and I wont wear them unless my top is going to cover my butt/hip area. If you're of the larger sizes...please don't wear spandex. If you do, PLEASE cover up your ass. Just sayin'!

{5} When you walk into a room how do you present yourself? Do you walk in with confidence and command the attention of others or do you slink in and do your best to go unnoticed?

Yeah, I'm going for unnoticed. Lol...

Now, go link up a play along people! It's fun, I promise!

I'm happy about this...

{countdown till I get to see my big Sister}

I'm happy that I was actually able to get an appointment at the tanning salon twice this week. They're so damn busy they haven't had any openings.

With every thing that's been going on with Rusty the last few days I'm happy that he at least opened up to my Godchild (his Cousin). I'm still not sure what happened with him and the gf, but my Godchild assured me he's OK.

I'm happy that hubby and I have the day to ourselves tomorrow. Next weekend he's going to be out of town at for at least one day picking up some parts for my car.

I'm happy that all the seeds that I planted a couple of weeks ago are finally coming up! I love seeing new plants coming up!

What I've really been happy about lately is all my crafting. I promised that I'd post some pics of my creations. A lot of this stuff I found links for tutorials to make them on One Pretty Thing. If you've never checked that site out before...go there as soon as you finish oohing and ahhing over all my pretty stuff lol. Seriously, they've got some  hella cute stuff, and a little something for everyone. (Be sure to go through their archives, you wont regret it!) It's my new addiction! Some of these I've posted before, I figured I have some new followers who haven't seen them and might like something enough to want to try to make it for themselves!

 {book thong}

Lol I think it's funny they call it a book thong. It was fun and easy to make.

 {recycled t shirt scarf}

I made quite a few of these as gifts. They're super easy to make but dayum did my hands hurt afterwards lol!

{"stained glass" candle holders}

I decided to do these in "Easter" (ish) colors. I like how they turned out though I wish I would have done the circles a bit smaller.

{I love this saying!}

I didn't have to do anything to "make" this one. Just print it out and frame it lol!

 {my "famous" name frames}

Lol they're famous with my friends and family. They love them! I've made one for myself, my MIL, my SIL and my Godchild (in purple, the other girl standing in the pic is also my Niece!) for her bridal shower. She loved it too!

{washer necklaces}

These aren't as easy to make as you'd think. They're very time consuming too. I have a whole box of them that I left in Louisiana the last time I was there. My sister and I were supposed to do some work with them (add more beads and stuff) and I didn't have room in my suitcase to bring them home. I need to have my Dad send them to me so I can sell them lol. I probably have over 100 of them.

Next, various magnets that I've been making...

 {scrabble tile magnets}

These I just sanded a bit and then mixed some black Folk Art paint with water and brushed it on the tiles and then wiped most of it off, added a dab of glue (E600 is amazeballs) and a magnet on the back.

{clothes pin magnets}

I actually made a boo boo when I was making these. I was supposed to cut the scrapbook paper to cover the entire length of the clothes pin, but I only cut them to cover up to the metal clip thingy. So I just covered the other part with glitter. I think they turned out ok!

{just a bunch of different ones}

I love the keep calm and bake on one. That thing probably has 20 magnets glued to the back of it cause the frame is so heavy lol. The Sanctuary Vineyards one is a bag from The Cotton Gin in the OBX when we stopped to pick up a bottle of their blackberry wine once on our way to the beach.

The pink/yellow/orange one and the green D one are both those promotional magnets that you get from places like pizza joints or insurance companies. I just covered them with scrapbook paper and then added embellishments to them.

The glass (flat back) marbles I glued scrapbook paper to the back and then added a magnet.

The small lock is just a cute lock that my mom gave me years ago that I'd always kept in my jewelry box (I have no idea why). I glued a magnet to it and tada...it's a magnet. The other little jewelry thingy is just a piece of costume jewelry that I found in my jewelry box and I have no idea where it came from.

{hot/cold rice packs)

These things are so damn easy to make and I'm addicted to mine. I keep mine in the freezer but you can also put them in the microwave if you need a heat pack. I can't tell you how many times I've taken mine to bed with me when I'm having a flare up (Fibromyalgia). They're also really good (for me) when I have a migraine. Not to mention, they come in damn handy when/if you're having a hot flash. Just sayin'!

Various ceramic tile coasters that I've made

{I made all of these out of some of the cards that hubby and I have give to each other over the years}

{a close up of a couple of them}

 {this is one of the ones I made from recycled xmas cards we've gotten}

 {photo ceramic tile coasters that I made for my SIL for xmas}

The next set of coasters are a set that hubby and I had and that we use most of the time. They were just your basic wood & cork coasters like the first pic.  We'd used them so much that the cork was starting to peel off of them. So I peeled it all out of the center and glued scrapbook paper in them then filled them with diamond glaze. I love that stuff lol.

 {I loved the way these turned out}

When I saw the idea for this on One Pretty Thing I knew I was going to try this one! I hate having that plain bottle of dish detergent sitting on my sink. I knew I had the bottle already so all I had to get was the pouring spout thingy. But you may notice that I have a cork in the bottle lol...

{doesn't this look much better than the plain detergent bottle?}

I picked up the pouring spout at our local grocery store (because I didn't feel like going to Wal Mart) and got it home and it's too big for my bottle. So I need to get a new bottle dang it.

You might notice that I have some of those flat bottom marbles in the bottom of the bottle. I read that it helps to make the detergent come out faster. I also read (after I'd made it) that Peir 1 has better pouring spouts than Wal Mart, so I may order one from them. I'm not driving all the way to Va Beach to go to Pier 1 y'all lol.

These next two things are some of my favorites. I'm totally addicted to chalk board paint now. WARNING: YOU WILL BECOME ADDICTED TO THIS PAINT!!!! {lol}

I want to paint damn near everything in my house with it lol. (Forgive my handwriting, I was having a bad fibro day!)

 {silver serving tray turned chalk board}

I'd seen lots of tutorials for these trays. Some people used silver trays. (Most silver trays are silver plated.) Some used "silver" trays that they bought at the Dollar Store. Mine is silver (plated) and the first time I painted  it the paint peeled off. Grrr So I had to go and buy some kind of primer that the girl working at Lowe's suggested. Once I primed it and got the chalk board paint on it was fine!

 {chalk board flower pots}

Like I warned you, I'm so addicted to this damn paint that I went and got every single one of our terra cotta pots (we have a bunch, hubby does bonsai trees lol) and painted them with it!

That's what I'm happy about, how about you? Go link up with Mamarazzi and let us all know what's on your happy list!

I confess...

this crazy weather is confusing the hell out of me. It's been in the 70's-80's all this past week. I woke up this morning freezing my fanny off.

I confess...

I'm loving my new do! The last time I got my hair done was in January when I went home to Louisiana. I've never had to tell my girl there what I wanted done (I always get the same thing done lol) so when my hair turned out darker than it was before we started I was a bit confused. She'd decided I needed some low lights and forgot to tell me lol. Now, the blond is back bitches.

{horrible pic but I'm blond again!}

I confess...

I'm still worried about my son (read yesterdays post if you want to know why). But I've been (secretly...he'd kill me if he knew) talking to some good friends of his and they assure me that they're going to make sure he's ok!

 {ladies, he's single!}

 {but he loves his Momma}

I confess...

I still want to go kick a little girls ass (yesterdays post too) damn it. Just sayin'.

I confess...

I found some really cool blogs yesterday (thanks to Mimi and We Want to Know Wednesday) . Lovin' them!

I confess...

I'm looking forward to Easter. We have some friends coming over for dinner, should be fun.

I confess...

I'm counting down the days until my trip to Tennessee to see my big Sister! Gonna be two weeks of straight partyin' y'all!

{only the best big sis ever}

I confess...

I've been a crafting fool lately, I'll be posting pics of my creations within the next few days.

I confess...

I got a new "bling" case for my Blackberry, I'm loving it! I mean...how cute is she?

{love, love, LOVE}

I confess...

Tuesday is our (hubby and I) 2nd wedding anniversary. It's been a tough year for us, especially lately. It's been stressful, it's been a strain on our relationship, it's been hard y'all. But we're in it for the long haul. The man is hella gorgeous, I still get lost when I look in those blue eyes!

{love}

I confess...

I've had to change my plans for our anniversary but I'll get over it. Hubby is taking me out to dinner, should be a nice night.

I confess...

this is fun. You should try it!

Do NOT Mess With a Momma Bear

April 21, 2011

I realize that I talk about my Son a lot. He's my life and there's nothing I'd ever do to change that. Some people think that I'm too wrapped up in his life. They're entitled to their opinion. EFF YOU!

What are you supposed to do when you know your kid is hurting, that they're depressed and you live too damn far away to be there for them?

Remember about a week ago when I wrote (this post) about my Son and his "new" (they'd been dating for a few months by the time he told me) girlfriend? Well apparently things aren't going so good for them and it's killing me because my kid is taking it hard and I live too damn far away, I can't be there for him.

Rusty works hard, I know I've mentioned this before. When you work anywhere from 80-130 hours a week it's hard to find someone you can trust. I talked to him the other day and he was telling me that the last few times he'd talked to her he could tell something was up. That she was acting "different."

See, all the guys that he works with have had girlfriends/wives cheat on them. The hours they work, the amount of time that they're away from home is usually to blame for this. He's seen this. So when he realized that she acting different it had his mind going a thousand miles an hour. It was killing him. And him being a couple of hundred miles away at work wasn't helping him.

I told him not to do that to himself, to just not think about it and when he got home if she was still acting the same then they could see if they could work it out.

Well apparently when he got home from offshore it didn't go so good. I haven't talked to him since he got home so I don't know what's going on with them but from what he's posted on FB, I'm guessing they broke up. And he's not taking it so good. I tried to call him yesterday but he didn't answer, I texted him last night. No reply. He'll get a nice ear chewing for this when I do hear from him lol.

I can see now that my kid is that guy, the "nice guy." The one all the girls want to be "just friends" with. Which means he's going to go through a lot of heart ache.

He told me when we were talking about the bitch girlfriend that he'd told her he wasn't the kind of guy who wanted to date someone for two weeks and then break up. That he wanted to be in a relationship. I think that's where the problem is.

He's young y'all. He's only 21. But all of his friends are in serious relationships or are married. He doesn't want to do the whole partying thing. Since he was 18 he's had one goal. He wants to own a home by the time he's 25. That should tell you what kind of a guy he is.

I mean, it's a good goal for him to have. But I doubt he's going to meet many girls his age who have goals like his. Most kids his age are only interested in partyin'! Sometimes I wish he could just "let go" a little bit and enjoy life a little more.

So what has me so worried?  I woke up this morning and this is his status on FB..." Wish you were still here dad. I could really use some of your advice." Uugh...it was like a knife to my heart. His Dad committed suicide almost two years ago. So to see that on FB made me panic. Especially since Rusty wasn't answering my phone calls last night.

There's this couple that he hangs around with a lot when he's home, they take really good care of him, they look out for him. If they go out and he gets drunk, they drive him home. If he needs something taken care of while he's offshore, they do it for him.

I sent Corinne (the wife) a message on FB this morning and asked her if they'd heard from him. They hadn't but her husband called Rusty and asked him if he wanted to go to dinner with him tonight. So she sent me a message to let me know he's ok. Whew. Thank God for her!

I know that Rusty would never hurt himself. Because of his Dad's suicide he has very strong opinions about the subject. But because he wasn't answering my calls or replying to my text I was damn near panicking.

I'm so pissed right now. I'm pissed that his Dad was so selfish that he picked up that damn gun and killed himself. Especially seeing that my Son needs his Dad right now. God forbid he thought more about someone else (you know, HIS KIDS) than he did himself.

I'm pissed that this girl hurt my son. Why is it that (most) girls would prefer a guy who's going to treat them like shit over the "nice guy?" It's probably a good thing that I don't live there, she'd have a Momma bear on her ass. Lol. I wish I was joking.If there's one thing you need to know about Cajun mothers, it's that you NEVER eva mess with their kids. It's how we were raised so when we have kids of our own...we're the same way.

I'm pissed that I live too damn far away to be there for him. Am I too wrapped up in his life? There is no such thing. He's my kid. Am I not supposed to care about what's going on in his life? That he's hurting? It doesn't matter how old your kids are (in my opinion) they'll always be your "babies."

I'm pissed I can't give him a hug right now. That's all I want to do, is just hug him and make all his "hurt" go away.

I saw this meme in Mimi's blog and thought, what the hell...why not?

1) Do you make friends easily?

That would be a NO! Most people tell me that when they first met me they thought I was a bitch/stuck up. I'm not stuck up, a bitch? Sometimes. But the truth is, I've extremely shy. Always have been. And I don't trust people easily anymore. So, you've got to be hella cool for me to instantly like & trust you. Not an easy task.

2) What 3 qualities are a must in a friend?

Honesty, it also helps if you don't have "sticky fingers." I've had enough of thievin' mofo's in my life.

Loyalty - This is a big one for me. The first time I find out you're talking behind my back or betraying my trust, we're done. Period. I'm done with bitches who you think are your friends and then they go around starting rumors about you.Trifilin' hos!

A good sense of humor. This is a MUST. You see, I like to "rag" people. I'll be the first person to laugh at you if you fall (it's all in love), and then I'll be sure to tell everyone that I possibly can. I expect you to do the same to me.

3) What makes YOU a good friend?

Well, first of all I'm loyal as all get out. True dat. I'll whip a bitches ass for you if I have to. I'll take your secrets to the grave with me. And best of all? I'll make you laugh, I'll pick on you for every single reason you give me to. I'll also give you plenty of reasons to laugh at me. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

 4) Have you ever met a bloggy friend in real life?

Nope. Was supposed to meet 3 of them last summer but it didn't work out. I'm still pouting over it lol. There are a few I'd like to meet though.

 5) Who is your best friend? Tell us about them.

My Sisters. They're the only bitches (IRL) that I trust at the moment. And they get my "quirky" sense of humor. They're loyal to a fault, they know most of my secrets and besides telling them to each other, I don't think they've ever told anyone else lol. They're loving, supportive and they gang up on me and pick on me all the damn time when we're together. Now that I think about it, they're a couple of bully's damn it. :0} But I love 'em, I'd be lost without them. That's real shit yo.

If you'd like to join in the fun you can click on the button at the top of this post to do so. You should all go check out Mimi's blog too. I promise, you'll laugh.

On a side note, I've lost two followers in the last two days. WTH? I'm not about the numbers, honestly I could care less (though I appreciate every one of y'all. Much love) but when I lose followers I worry that maybe I said something to offend someone. Have any of you (my loyal followers) been offended by any of my post lately?

Oh yeah, if I find out who my two deserters are I'll hunt you down and hit you with a pillow or some fluffy thing. Just sayin'.

I've gotta run, I'm going to get my hair trimmed and highlighted. Can't wait!
